FireSmart contractor.

Contractors – such as those specialized in home (gutter/roof/windows), landscaping, and arborist services – play an essential role in FireSmart mitigation work. Homeowners often rely on the contractors to do mitigation work on their property based on the recommendations provided in Wildfire Mitigation Assessments.

About the program

The FireSmart Contractors Program serves to connect Creston residents who have had a FireSmart assessment with local contractors who have provided the Town of Creston with proof of a business license and completed basic FireSmart Training.

The Town of Creston does not endorse or recommend any specific business or contractor, including those on the contractor’s list. The listed contractors are independent contractors and not affiliated with, or employees of the Town of Creston. The Town does not endorse the quality of work provided by a registered contractor or guarantee any of their services. It is the homeowner’s responsibility to interview and select a contractor that meets the homeowner’s needs.

For contractors - Register Now!

To register as a FireSmart contractor with the Town of Creston, the following are required to be completed:

  1. Visit firesmartbc.ca to enroll in the free FireSmart 101 course.
    • Complete FireSmart 101 and save a copy of your certificate.

    2. Fill out the “Town of Creston FireSmart Contractor Program Application Form” [LH2.1]

    3. Submit the completed application form via email to crestonfiresmart@creston.ca including as attachments:
a. Proof of current business license.
b. A copy of your FireSmart 101 course certificate.
Successful applicants will be notified upon approval and will be included on the Town of Creston list of registered contractors to be made available HERE. [
