Contractors – such as those specialized in home (gutter/roof/windows), landscaping, and arborist services – play an essential role in FireSmart mitigation work. Homeowners often rely on the contractors to do mitigation work on their property based on the recommendations provided in Wildfire Mitigation Assessments.
About the program
The Town of Creston Contractor’s List serves to connect Creston residents who have had a Wildfire Mitigation Program Assessment with local contractors who:
- Have a Town of Creston business licence
- Completed basic FireSmart Training
- Offer services in relevant FireSmart categories

The Town of Creston does not endorse or recommend any specific business or contractor, including those on the contractor’s list. The listed contractors are independent contractors and not affiliated with, or employees of the Town of Creston. The Town does not endorse the quality of work provided by a registered contractor or guarantee any of their services. It is the homeowner’s responsibility to interview and select a contractor that meets the homeowner’s needs.
As this program is brand new, there are no contractor’s on our list yet. We’ll post them here soon!
For contractors - Register Now!
To register to be in the Contractor’s List complete the following:
- Visit firesmartbc.ca to enroll in the free FireSmart 101 course and save a copy of your certificate.
- Fill out the Application Form found in the Contractor’s Guide.
- Submit the completed application form via email to crestonfiresmart@creston.ca and include the following:
- Proof of current business license.
- A copy of your FireSmart 101 course certificate.
Successful applicants will be notified upon approval and will be included on the Town of Creston list of registered contractors.
